Make a Difference

Tasmanias-Local-Charity

Take action

Every year, hundreds of kind and compassionate Tasmanians take action to help people facing hardship and homelessness in Southern Tasmania.

And with 120,000 Tasmanians still living in poverty, we can’t stop now!

By helping others in your community, you are saying YES to making sure that no person is left behind.

Donate

  • Safe, secure accommodation for the many young Mums, Dads and children who depend on the 100% donor funded Small Steps and DIY Dads programs.

  • Innovative housing solutions like Mountain View, a 32 home facility that provides the intensive support people need to transition out of homelessness and rebuild their lives – also 100% donor funded.

  • Emergency food and financial assistance for the more than 100 Tasmanians reaching out for help every week.

Your support is vital to these services and many more. Without your care and compassion, vulnerable Tasmanians could have even fewer safe places to go.

Please give generously. Together we can build a Tasmania that is fairer and safer for all.

Thank you  ❤️

Donate with Recycle Rewards

We are thrilled to announce that Hobart City Mission is now a proud charity partner of the Recycle Rewards program!

This exciting partnership enables everyone in our community to make a difference simply by recycling eligible containers. By choosing to donate the 10-cent refund from your bottles and cans to Hobart City Mission, you can directly support our many vital programs. This initiative transforms everyday recycling into meaningful community impact.

How it works:

  • Collect: Gather eligible drink containers marked with a “10c refund” label.

  • Donate: Select Hobart City Mission as the charity to receive your refund.

It’s a straightforward and impactful way for supporters like you to contribute. Every container donated helps fund essential services that benefit individuals and families across our community.

We encourage everyone to join us in spreading the word! Whether you collect containers at home, work, or community events, your efforts make a significant difference. Together, we can create lasting change for those facing challenges in our community.
