How do I access support?

Please give us a call on 6215 4200 or drop in and speak with one of our team members about arranging an appointment. We’ll talk about your situation and what support may be available.

What support is available?

We may be able to help with food, personal care packs, gift cards for groceries or fuel, or other everyday essentials such as Op Shop vouchers for clothing or furniture.

Will I have to tell you my whole story?

No. We’ll only ask what we need to understand what support you need. We invite you to share only what you feel comfortable with.

What if I’m feeling nervous?

That’s okay. We’ll take things one step at a time and you can ask questions at any time.

Can I bring someone with me?

Yes. If having someone with you helps you feel more comfortable, they’re welcome to come along.

Hobart Office

8:30am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday at 50 Barrack Street, Hobart

Moonah Office

8:30am - 5:00pm Tuesday to Friday at 11 Main Road, Moonah. Closed between 1pm and 2pm for lunch.

Oatlands

By appointment, fortnightly from 12pm to 1pm at Midlands Memorial Community Centre, 68 High Street.

Huonville & Sorell - Mobile Van

Our mobile ER food van provides frozen meals, non perishable food and other Hobart City Mission service links. The van can be found at the following times and locations:

The laneway behind Huonville City Mission Op Shops, 3 Wilmot Rd from 2pm – 3pm every Tuesday
Outside Sorell South Eastern Community Care, 12 Somerville St from 2pm – 3pm every Thursday

No appointment is required to access emergency food packs at the HCM food van or offices.
