Supporting young couples with children by providing a home and the parenting & life skills to flourish as a family.
Growing Together is a live-in program that helps couples 25 and under, to develop parenting and life skills. We support them as a family if they are at risk of homelessness and need housing.
This is a place where they can learn and develop together as a family, and work on their goals with support.
We can also support them if they are at risk of losing custody of their child or children, because of housing or child safety concerns.
There are 6 units available as part of the Growing Together program
Jess’ Story
Jess leads Hobart City Mission’s Growing Together program, which supports young families at risk of homelessness or losing custody of their children.
One family, referred before their baby was born, found stability through the program. With Jess’ guidance, they completed parenting programs, learned budgeting, and established a healthy routine.
Another couple, once homeless and struggling, developed life skills and reconnected with family.
Jess finds the most reward in seeing families grow stronger and more hopeful about their futures, leaving Growing Together prepared to face life’s challenges with confidence and stability.

How We Assist
🏠Providing safe transitional accommodation for couples and their children.
💞Building healthy relationships, developing parenting skills and support with budgeting.
🤝Providing support to achieve goals such as completing an education or gaining a driver’s license.
